How To Cut A Hole For A Sink Installation

With different sink sizes and faucet styles it can be confusing. We have come up with this simple guide to help you in this process based on sinks and faucets that are most standard.

These instructions are not model specific but general instructions for installation for :

• Vessel Sinks
• Bathroom Faucets
• Bathroom Sinks

Design 1: Installing a Top Mount 16.5 inch Standard Diameter Round Vessel Sink with a Straight Body Faucet

• Center of Sink to Center Faucet Hole = 10 inch (9 inch to 11 inch will usually work depending on the nose length on the faucet)

Design 2: Installing a Top Mount 16.5 inch Standard Diameter Round Vessel Sink with a Bent Waterfall Faucet that is a Straight Body Style

• Center of Sink to Center Faucet Hole = 11.5 inch

Design 3: Installing a Semi Recessed Vessel Sink – installed into the counter-top

• Allow 1 inch minimum between the edge of the sink and start of the faucet. The Center to Center size will vary based on depth of the sink. Height of the sink area you leave exposed is personal preference. Usually the faucet you will need will be a short style for this type of installation but that depends how much sink you leave exposed.

Design 4: Installing a completely under mount Vessel Sink

• Allow 1 inch minimum between the edge of the sink and start of the faucet. Based on the rise and projection of your faucet this size will need to be adjusted. We recommend you have the faucet and sink in hand for proper planning. This type of installation will require a short faucet.

HOLE CUT SIZES:

Drain Hole cut size should be 1 7/8 inch to 2 inch

Faucet Hole cut size should exactly 1.5 inch
