If you have a makeup table, you probably use it quite a bit. Vanity makeup tables are both functional and fashionable. However, if you want to maintain the fashionable aspect of your vanity table, you need to make sure you DON’T do the following things:

Leave All Your Makeup Out

Some makeup can stain or taint the surface of your vanity table. Although it comes off your skin quite easily, the table top of some vanities can absorb the pigment of some makeup products. Nail polish, for example can stain your makeup table if you leave the bottle out and open, and accidentally knock over the bottle. Nail polish remove can also damage your makeup table. So use your makeup and related products, and then put them away.

Put Your Vanity Makeup Table Right Next to Your Tub

Depending on what your vanity makeup table is made of, water can damage the surface. It’s better to keep vanity makeup tables away from water. Placing it right by your tub is just asking for trouble. Water can splash behind it and cause water damage. So keep your vanity table away from water.

Never Clean Your Vanity

This one is obvious but some people still neglect to do so. One of the quickest ways to ruin a makeup table is to never clean it. Vanity makeup tables are used frequently. As a result, dirt, grime, and residue can build up. If you don’t regularly clean your table, this dirt and grime can eat away at your makeup vanity and eventually cause irreversible damage. So clean your makeup vanity from time to time and make sure you do a thorough job. The more you clean it, the longer it will last.
